The iPhone app that's turned ordering a pizza into a whole new experience - and sent Domino's sales soaring

It wasn't cheap and it took time to create, but Domino's Pizza's new iPhone app has been a sales winner. CEO Don Meij says they'd set modest targets and the results have gone way beyond expectations: 200,000 downloads of the app, and pizza sales of $2 million in the first 3 months. This has more than justified the development costs of the app, borne by the Australia and New Zealand arms of the company, and it will now be rolled out in other overseas markets. Don Meij says the new technology provides great opportunities, but also needs careful planning and execution.
