Don't be sucked in, warns our resident economist - and careful observer of close to a dozen Federal elections - Professor Neville Norman of Melbourne University. From that long experience, Neville's drawn up a list of "pollie porkies" to watch out for: like attaching promises of big spending in government to vague timelines. And he also has a prediction for next year's Budget that's guaranteed to get you thinking.
