Global economic uncertainty is having a direct impact on our local stock market - but with it comes opportunity.

Uncertainty still clouds the global economic landscape as we move towards the end of 2014 - highlighted by the IMF cutting it's outlook for global growth in 2015. Our regular stock market observer and economist, Elio D'Amato, tells us what it all means for the Australian economy. The decreasing Australian dollar has allowed interest rates to remain stable and Elio expects this to remain the case for some time.

Turning to the stock market, Elio says the recent correction is short term as foreign investors are taking their money out of the market while the dollar is dipping. Once this volatility plays out, Elio says it will create some great buying opportunities for Australian investors as quality stocks have dipped in price.
