Sharemarket Update

Listen to a Preview

Elio D'Amato, of Lincoln Stock Doctor, says investors are showing cautious optimism about the beginnings of a market recovery, though volatility will continue and the year will start flat. There are fears of more bad economic news and people are wary about over-committing. Banks need to free up their credit policies still further, but he expects stocks to start their recovery before the general economy, possibly as early as April. The outcome of the reporting season starting in February will be the most important in 70 years.
